Our Start Kayaking sessions are all about getting you on the water and experiencing the joys of kayaking in a safe and fun way. These adult sessions are for anyone over the age of 16 who want to get on the water and learn the basics of kayaking with basic skills and challenges. We use our great sit on top kayaks meaning that we have the best platform for learning skills without the challenges or fears of ‘getting stuck’.

This session includes your British Canoeing Paddle Start Certificate.

Our Start Paddleboarding sessions are all about getting you on the water and experiencing the joys of paddleboarding in a safe and fun way.

Ages 7+

This session includes your British Canoeing Paddle Start Certificate.

Park & Play at Pinkston Watersports is a great chance to get on the water and improve your skills in our safe sheltered canal basin.

This is suitable for those who have already completed our Start and Discover sessions. Perfect for practice before buying your own kit!

Experience the thrills of Scotland’s only artificial whitewater course in an inflatable tube! This easily accessible activity will provide you with all the excitement of whitewater in a safe and controlled way. This course runs for 1.5 hours each day, for 3 consecutive days

Our Discover Kayaking course is all about developing your kayaking skills in the sheltered water environment. We’ll teach you using lots of fun games and challenges that will help you develop the solid fundamentals of the sport.

Ages 7+.

1.5hrs each day, for 3 consecutive days.

Our Discover Kayaking sessions are all about developing your kayaking skills in a sheltered water environment. By the end of this course you should be competent leading a group on flat-water.

Ages 16+

This session includes your British Canoeing Paddle Discover Certificate

Want to learn how to handle an open canoe? This is a great way to spend time together as a family, work together as a team, and build the skills needed for a bigger adventure.

Our Start Kayaking sessions are all about getting you on the water and experiencing the joys of kayaking in a safe and fun way. These family and kids’ sessions are for anyone over the age of 7 who want to get on the water and play lots of fun games and challenges. We play on our great sit on top kayaks meaning that we have the best platform for fun and games.

This session includes your British Canoeing Paddle Start Certificate.

Experience fire lighting, toasted marshmallows, bushcraft games and watersports (kayaking, raft building or paddleboarding) all wrapped up in one fab party.

Choose one activity from stand-up paddleboarding, raft building, or kayaking. You’re sure to make a splash!

Come and learn the SUP basics!

This can be a one-off session for you to experience SUP or you can come multiple times to build your skill. We work on a 1 to 8 instructor ratio for SUP, so you are guaranteed focused quality feedback in a safe learning environment.

Ages 7+

This taster session take place on the outflow of the course and gives you a great step from kayaking on flatwater to whitewater. Our team will work with you in either sit on top or closed cockpit kayak to give you a great introduction to the thrills of whitewater.

Our Discover Kayaking sessions are all about developing your kayaking skills in the sheltered water environment. We’ll teach you using a wide range of fun tasks and challenges that will help you develop the solid fundamentals of the sport.

This progression session if for those who are comfortable paddling on the flat water or have done an introduction to whitewater session and want to develop your skills further and start your journey to mastering the art of whitewater kayaking.

Are the kids bored during the holidays? Then bring them along for a half day of outdoor activities and fun at Pinkston Watersports!

For kids aged 7+

Are the kids bored during the holidays? Then bring them along for a white water tubing & bushcraft session at Pinkston Watersports!

This session is specifically for kids aged 12+

All you need to bring is a swimsuit, a pair of old shoes that can get wet, and a towel.
