FAQs
Q : Is there car parking?
A : Yes, we have a free to use carpark with more free street parking on Boron Street (road directly up the hill from the main gates)
Q : Are there showers and hair dyers?
A : We have changing facilities with hot showers but no hair dyers. We do have outside plugs if you wish to bring your own.
Q : How cold is the water?
A : This changes from day to day as it is an outdoor unheated (but filtered!) pool. But probably cold tbh – know your limits especially in winter!
Q : Do I need to wear a wetsuit or buoyancy aid?
A : While both wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided only buoyancy aids must be worn. You may prefer/be more conformable in a tshirt and shorts than a wetsuit however you are much more likely to get cold even in warmer weather. Please be aware of your limits in cold water.
Q : Can I use my own equipment, such as my own boat?
A : We can understand why someone would want to use their own equipment for some of our sessions, and this is often ok with us depending on the session. Our instructors will give your kit a quick once over to make sure it is safe and suitable to use before going on the water. Our instructor may still ask you to use our equipment if they are unsure or believe it may unsuitable as we have storage records etc. to make sure that our equipment is up to the right standards and safe, while will not have the same records for yours.
Q : Is there a coffee machine?
A : No, bring your own flask if you would like a hot drink for after!
