April 2021 Reopening

PINKSTON REOPENING PLANS

Following recent announcements we are excited now to be working towards a firm reopening date of 1st April for all activities, subject to ongoing travel restrictions.

This means that any bookings that are in the calendar after this date we will assume are going ahead. Where possible we will contact any groups who we are unsure about, but it would be a great help to the team here if you are able to get in touch and confirm when you are likely to want your bookings to start from.

We are conscious that there are still travel restrictions that will affect many groups and that this might mean you aren’t yet able to resume your activities at Pinkston.

Full SCA guidance can be found here.

Our own activities will also resume from this date, again for those living within the Glasgow area only at this time.

We still have no plans to reintroduce an ability or users to book into skedda directly. The reason for this remains that we need to have a tighter rein on what groups are likely to be onsite at any time.

We have been reviewing procedures again ahead of reopening, and will continue to do so, so please check in with a member of the team when you are next onsite.

As always, please get in touch if you have any questions

Looking forward to seeing you back soon!

from all the team at Pinkston

Our Start Kayaking sessions are all about getting you on the water and experiencing the joys of kayaking in a safe and fun way. These adult sessions are for anyone over the age of 16 who want to get on the water and learn the basics of kayaking with basic skills and challenges. We use our great sit on top kayaks meaning that we have the best platform for learning skills without the challenges or fears of ‘getting stuck’.

This session includes your British Canoeing Paddle Start Certificate.
