Customer service and admin role at Pinkston Watersports

Pinkston is recruiting for a customer focused administrator (22.5 hours pw (.6FTE) / 6 month
contract initially, with an option for an additional 1 year maternity cover)

The focus of this role is to promote a positive customer experience for those enquiring, booking
and visiting Pinkston Watersports, as well as attracting new customers and marketing new and
existing products and services via schools, clubs and community groups.

You will have a friendly demeanour with a customer facing outlook and a passion for ensuring a
high-quality experience for all visitors. You will also have a good understanding of customer
engagement and encouraging return custom.

An active understanding of paddlesports, sport and/or the outdoors and working with a varied
community would be beneficial. Strong communication skills at all levels are important.

Working shift pattern on a two week rotation and would be week one; Monday, Wednesday and
Friday and week two; Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 8.30/9am-3.30/4pm or another
mutually suitable shift pattern.

Key Tasks include:
Using, managing and updating Centre booking systems and preparing invoices for new
bookings.
Daily tasks opening the Centre – preparing the daily ‘what’s on’ board
Setting up classrooms for corporate bookings
Responding to enquiries face to face and via email, phone and social media
Managing and developing social media, our website, monthly newsletters and on-site posters.
Build and maintain positive relationships with all / external site users and be the welcome face
of Pinkston Watersports. This may include welcoming groups of young people on site, through
to the handover process of young people with onward travel arrangements. Youth and
community groups are key service users and satisfactory completion of the PVG process is
essential to the role.

Pinkston is Scotland’s only artificial white water centre, a charity and social enterprise located
in Port Dundas. The role is Centre based only.
