Whitewater Course

At last: clean, accessible and affordable whitewater for all!

The Pinkston Artificial Whitewater Course (AWWC) is a channel 100m long and 10m wide, running at up to 7 cumecs (tons per second). The flexible Rapid Blocs obstacle system creates a challenging series of rapids suitable for various whitewater activities including kayaking, canoeing, rafting and swift water rescue training.

The water is treated to bathing quality, and is the only facility of its type in Scotland.

For more details on individual access see Things To Do, or to hire the course as a group see Venue Hire

The whitewater course is ideal for:

We are just off the M8 motorway in Glasgow, just an hour from Edinburgh or Perth and only 30 minutes from Stirling. If you're traveling from England to sample classic Scottish whitewater such as the Etive, Roy, Spey or Moriston, we are the perfect place to stop and play on your way. See Park & Play for more information on our regular drop-in whitewater sessions, or consider hiring the course for exclusive use by your group.
